Every Child Benefits with ASEF

The Antioch Schools Education Foundation (ASEF) is a nonprofit that benefits every child in every school in the Antioch Unified School District. ASEF raises money to fund enhanced student learning through district-wide enrichment initiatives, curriculum material, grants for teachers, and an array of programs to help students learn and thrive. With the help of its donors, ASEF serves to bridge the gap between education funding and what the Antioch Unified School District students need to truly excel.

To engage the citizenry, political and business communities of the Antioch Unified School District in providing community and corporate support for creating an exceptional public school education for all students, thus ensuring the future of our youth, our economic vitality and unique quality of life.

What Is ASEF

The Antioch Schools Education Foundation (ASEF) is a nonprofit that supports all the students of the Antioch Unified School District. The Foundation was formed by a partnership of parents, community members, and local businesses, ASEF has served to bridge the gap between public education funding and what Antioch Unified School District students need to truly excel. An investment in ASEF is an investment in:

  • Year round School Supplies under the “Stuff the Bus School Supply Retention Program”
  • Classroom technology, training and equipment
  • Transportation for Field Trips
  • Teacher innovation in the classroom and school-based grants

Why Does Our School District Need Private Funding?

The reality of public school funding in California is that property taxes are just not enough. The best public schools and school districts are truly a public/private partnership.

According to the California Consortium of Education Foundations communities across California who reap the benefits of a partnership between their education foundation and school district have some of the strongest property values even in real estate market fluctuations. These communities remain strong only with the support of an education foundation such as ASEF to help fund programs and teachers.

ASEF funds what may be considered “non-essential” by state government, but highly valued and essential by students and parents who are looking toward college and the future workforce.

  • The ASEF supports all the schools in the Antioch Unified School District.
  • Since its formation, the ASEF has contributed thousands of dollars to supplement the AUSD’s impacted budget.
